I am a reliable person who enjoys being able to help other people where I can. Although I have worked in some different fields of work, my most valuable moments are related to those jobs where I cared about others. In my early twenties I worked with vulnerable teenagers. Years later I regularly cooked for homeless people at a shelter as a volunteer which gave me the motive to become a professional cook. And a few years ago I got a chance to challenge myself as a carer. I was asked to look after a lovely lady in her nineties. I helped her with daily life on weekdays and moved into her house for the weeks when her family was abroad. I can say without exaggeration that we became close friends during the 18 months that we spent together. These experiences made me more understanding and sensitive towards other people's feelings and difficulties. I am a confident, reliable, patient and trustworthy person. I grew up in a strict household with my parents and 2 younger siblings, my mother worked abroad and my father has Multiple Sclerosis so I had to be the man of the house and taking care of my 2 little brothers. At the moment I am staying with my Aunt and Uncle where I'm offering extra help as their carer/personal assistant . My aunt suffers from dementia and my Uncle is disabled, so I not only take care of them but I also maintain the home in and out, I run errands for my Uncle which includes paying the bills, keeping the utility meters topped up, grocery shopping, etc. I also take him to the bank, post office and doctor appointments. Although I may not have years of experience, I do have quite a bit of experience in multiple fields and I am very willing and able to take on the task at hand.
