I am a reliable person who enjoys being able to help other people where I can.
Although I have worked in some different fields of work, my most valuable moments are related to those jobs where I cared about others.
In my early twenties I worked with vulnerable teenagers.
Years later I regularly cooked for homeless people at a shelter as a volunteer which gave me the motive to become a professional cook.
And a few years ago I got a chance to challenge myself as a carer. I was asked to look after a lovely lady in her nineties. I helped her with daily life on weekdays and moved into her house for the weeks when her family was abroad. I can say without exaggeration that we became close friends during the 18 months that we spent together.
These experiences made me more understanding and sensitive towards other people's feelings and difficulties. I believe I would be able to make a difference in others' lives as a live-in carer using my skills and experiences.
