I seek live-in accommodation and employment and would make a good companion working within the home. I work hard, am compassionate, attentive and a good listener. A good home cook with personal and professional experience dusting, vacuum cleaning, mopping, making beds and general tidying up for domestic homes, letting accommodation, hotels and showrooms. On 17th October I attended a two day course by Independent People Live In Care, Chelmsford which was interesting and informative. IP Chelmsford was very keen to place me with a client immediately. However, with the IP placement unforthcoming, I am now making further applications for personal assistant and care roles. In my spare time I like to have fun and enjoy writing, typing on my pc. I also like to watch documentaries, old films, go out for the occasional walk and drive. Unfortunately I am without a car at present. I am an energetic individual who is also able to enjoy relaxing too. ...

Presently working for a lovely lady, but due to her poor health, she must go into a nursing home. I have a great sense of humor and maturity, I am caring, compassionate, calm and responsible person with good convincing power. In addition, I cared for my father who suffered from Dementia for past six years, and it is this experience more than any other that has reinforced my commitment to providing quality care for the aged. This personal experience has provided me with invaluable insight into the needs of the aged and the importance of providing them with the nurturing, respect and comfort that they deserve Below are few of my skills I gained on the job; Assisted patients with daily functions. Monitored fluid intake and output levels. Completed all daily living tasks to enhance the quality of life of elderly patients. Partnered with the team of registered nurses to achieve overall wellbeing of all patients. Engaged patients with games, crafts, cooking, music, reading and other activities. Accurately recorded and reported test results according to established procedures. Performed direct patient care aimed at increasing comfort, and psycho, social and spiritual well-being by providing assistance with personal hygiene, physical comfort, nutrition, elimination, prevention of skin breakdown, rehabilitation and safety. Took advantage of opportunities for continuing education, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities. Maintained accurate records of patient care, condition, progress and concerns. Responded appropriately to the physical, emotional and developmental needs of patients. Obtained information about clients’ medical history, drug history, complaints, and allergies. Maintained a clean, healthy and safe environment. Documented objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Reported any unusual circumstances in the patients’ condition or the environment. Helped residents with programming goals and increasing their independence. I also have a huge range of interests, from cooking to reading, traveling, board games, horseback riding and so on. All those things combined make me a good carer. ...
