I have several years of experience in live-in care work. I've also done a fair amount of research into helping patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias, Diabetes, Arthritis, Cancer, Multiple Scoliosis, manage their wellbeing by improving gut flora as this has a direct impact on general health, including the health of the brain. I've seen amazing results (in less than a month) from just adding/ substituting simple food items to their preferred menu in agreement with the patient and/ or relatives, who are often impressed at how their loved one appears so much calmer and less anxious -- produce grown without pesticides has the best effect, also minimizing scented cleaning chemicals (I, myself, use essential oils for aroma). Of course, I take time to first get to know the patient and situation before making any suggestions; sometimes it's just not viable or wanted. References can be provided upon request. Picture was from recent outing with grandchild. ...
