I am an experienced live-in carer looking for work from 1st of June 2018. I am 32 years old, and originally from Sweden but I have lived in the UK for most of my adult life. I have four years experience of live in care work as well as experience doing shift work and working in residential settings. Live in care suits me the best though, I enjoy the adventure of coming into a new person's life and coming to understand their needs and their world view. I am friendly and approachable as a person, and I like meeting new people. As a carer, I am flexible and always try to learn my client's way of doing things, and pay attention to when I am needed and when my client has a need for privacy. My big interests in life are art and people, and I am currently studying traditional drawing techniques at the Swedish Academy of Realist Art. The course finishes in June, and I am looking forward to working with people again as well as pursuing art projects in my time off. When I'm not drawing I spend a lot of time thinking about philosophy, psychology and religion, I'm not religious myself but I am fascinated by people and their ideas. Hello my name is Linda & i would like to find a good position with a client that i could really be so helpful to as Carer / Companion i have experience in looking after a lady that had a serious back problem worked with her for 1 year as a live in Carer/ Companion aspects were assisting walking, showering, dressing, assisted trips & appointments out, housekeeping, shopping, cooking good healthy meals, internet use, medication & whatever had to be done plus being an ear to listen to & a hand to hold whenever she needed it. i totally found my calling , i am a very compassionate, empathetic, committed lady with a warm heart & a very pleasant outlook on life with a good sense of humour, mature, responsible & chatty full of personality & never boring, very well travelled & educated i do not drive .. but i am a very good cook & knowledge of food nutrition. preferably looking for longer term placements or minimum 4 weeks on 1 week off ...

I am a mature and well educated woman with around nine months experience of live-in care. Previously I have worked as a financial marketing manager, and more recently as a cover teacher, and special needs assistant in secondary schools, where I gained HLTA Status. As a carer I have worked all over the UK and gained experience in clinical care, including PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, bowel management, and chemotherapy as well as end of life care, dementia and spinal injuries. I have a warm and empathetic personality, and I enjoy helping my clients make the most of their lives, in spite of their conditions. I am a very quiet person, much more inclined to reading or listening to the radio than watching tv, although I also enjoy socialising with my clients, especially during meal times. I am a competent cook, and have successfully raised two daughters both of whom are now work I g professionally in London. ...
