I am 50yo and i enjoy a full and active life which includes hiking, puzzles reading or movies. I am experienced in aged care and Cerebral Palsy clients wanting to mainstream their lives. Between 2006 - 2009 i qualified in NVQ3&4, Adult health and Social Care through City and Guild. My last client was a 19 year old from North London. He attended a mainstream college, loved arranging his own outings to pubs or the theatre. Since i have a drivers license we would take drives out into the country to camp for a few days. I came back to SA because in Visa expired and both my parents were diagnosed with cancer. I chose to spend their last days with them nursing them till their death on their respective side of their bed. I am now in the process of finalizing my parents estate and working as a medical administrator in the frail-care department of a retirement home called Libertas Retirement Centre. As per my Attorneys the estate should be finalized before year end. ...

Personal Statement Through previous employment as well as everyday life I have gained various skills and experiences which I would say make me a good candidate for the position. I have improved my communication skills and problem solving ability compared to when I worked as a caregiver; I understand the unique importance of communication between families and healthcare professionals regarding clients’ condition. My teamwork and interpersonal skills were honed in my work as a customer service member, it was a job which requires a lot more personality than people may perceive as you are dealing with people with different background. I believe that these skills will make it easy to resume my career in healthcare by enabling me to create strong relationship with residents and colleagues. ...

I am an active, mature English woman with 16 years experience of Live in Care work. I have nursed clients through to end of life in their own homes in long term live in posts. I am a patient, caring and dedicated carer. I find Palliative Care particularly rewarding. I understand the importance of supporting the family as well as the client. My interests are reading, weaving, films and walking. I enjoy spending time with my grandsons, driving, walking our dogs, exploring new areas. I have travelled and lived in a number of counties during my life. The last 27 years have been in Cornwall where I have for the last 10 years worked locally through word of mouth recommendation. I have recently taken a couple of months off to refresh myself. I feel everyone has the right to be treated with sensitivity, dignity and respect. In my view looking after others is very much about recognizing each is an individual and responding accordingly, meeting each persons individual needs. I have gained extensive experience during my time working for an agency initially, as a Health Care Assistant in various wards in The Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske, Derriford Hospital Plymouth, Torbay and a number of Community Hospitals during my time with Newcross Agency. I have experience with personal care, first aid, safeguarding, food and hygiene, moving and handling, hoist and stand aids, catheters, Peg Feeding, medication, diabetes, diet and insulin injections, incontinence, challenging behaviour.
