During the years of working within the health care sector I have learnt how to adapt to different environments and care complex needs of clients, and provide the care required to undertake the care needed for the client to reach their optimal health. I have gained experience working alongside qualified nurses, assisting in bed making, washing and personal hygiene care of patients, assisting with getting clients in and out of bed, turning stroke patients to ensure that they do not get pressure sores and breakdown of the skin, mouth care and peg feeding doing vital signs, , i.e. temp, resp. pulse, B/P, as well as caring for patients with long term diseases such as cancer and HIV. I also did my manual handling training that give me the ability to use equipment such as hoist, rotunda, wheel chairs etc. My manual handling and mandatory training is up to date. ...

Hello . I'm Elaine . I'm 50 years old and I have some experience as a live-in carer although it was a good few years ago . I'd really love to get back into care work as I did enjoy it . I have cared for ladies and gentlemen with alzheimers , MS , dementia and spinal injuries of various ages . I consider myself to be a patient understanding person who tries always to listen to others and consider their needs . I'm willing to undertake any training that I need to in order to gain qualification and improve upon my skills . I must say that I do not hold a driving license . ...
