I believe my gained experience both personal and professional throughout my career as an emergency helpline operator, massage therapist and a martial arts coach can be transferred to any care setting. Through my career I have to practice communication skills, being able to listen, gain trust and understand people. As a martial arts coach I have been able to advise on healthy diet and exercises and motivate people to change their life style. As an emergency helpline operator I had to listen to and respond fast to accidents and emergencies I was reported about. This taught me to be calm in challenging situations and find efficient solutions to occuring problems, give reassurance to those I was listening to. I have decided to work as a live in carer in order to learn more about British people, improve my language skills and being able to help and care about them. I have 29 years experience working in a care setting. I have worked in a day centre for adults with learning difficulties for approx 26 years, as an administrator. During that time I also worked evening and weekends as a carer in residential homes, group homes, sheltered blocks, private residence, day centres. I worked with elderly clients with dementia, children and families, the sick, learning difficulties and mental health. At present I work for Bluebird Care in Enfield, North London as a carer and as a Live In carer as and when required. I am looking to expand my living care experience to a more permanent role.
