I am a caring, compassionate and emphatic individual who has approximately 6.5 years experience of working in a caring environment. I also cared for my grandmother in the home for 8 years, from her diagnosis of vascular dementia up until her passing away, approximately two years ago.
I am seeking for work as a live in carer up until September 2018, when I plan to return to the social work degree course. Although I reside in Northern Ireland, I am happy to work in any part of England. I believe that my skills as a carer would be most suited to working with a female, possibly with a diagnosis of Dementia. I believe this as I feel that I understand this disease and how to best communicate, interact and work well with those with Alzheimer's.
