I have worked for a care company for 18 months where went to a clients home and help them get up. Get their breakfast and get set for the day. I also did the same at night.
I have worked for a year in a nursing home also where I learned more about looking after the elderly.
I have worked with dementia sufferers, wheelchair bound people and clients who need a hoist. I am currently studying for a health care qualification recognised in Ireland (Fetac level 5). I have done manual handling training and my garda getting is in date.
